Council History

The Queen of Heaven Council was chartered Columbus Day 1958. The council was first associated the Church of the Resurrection. The council’s name “Queen of Heaven Council” was suggested by the first Chaplain and pastor of the Church of the Resurrection, the Reverend Paul Hostettler. The council was named for the Blessed Virgin Mary, the Mother of our Lord, Jesus Christ. The Queen of Heaven Council is now associated with St. Therese of Lisieux Parish in Cleveland, TN. The council had council halls in South Cleveland and North Cleveland, but since relocating its home to St. Therese the Queen of Heaven Council has become well known through fundraisers benefiting charities and through active participation in various projects for the parish, community and the Knights of Columbus.
